We want to make an educational trip to Whitaker Center a reality for underserved schools. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, STEM Scholarships can help cover a large portion of program fees for your school group.
These scholarships can help assist with the cost of a field trip to Whitaker Center and cover experiences such as admission fees for students to the Harsco Science Center and documentary films in the Select Medical Digital Cinema. A scholarship can also subsidize the cost of admission to our Surgery Live! program and STEM Camps during the summer months. This is a first-come, first-serve opportunity. Contact us at education@whitakercenter.org to find out if your organization qualifies.
Eligible organizations include school buildings with a 40% or greater participation in free or reduced lunch programs or Central Pennsylvania nonprofit organizations that serve low-income or disadvantaged youth groups ages 4 through 18.
Whitaker Center STEM Scholarship Fund may not be used to cover food, parking, transportation, or other associated costs. Hollywood films being shown in our digital cinema are also not covered.
In the fiscal year 2019, over 8,480 underserved children received scholarships for our educational programs including Field Trips, STEM Camps, and Surgery Live!
All requests for Whitaker Center STEM Scholarship Fund should be directed to education@whitakercenter.org.
