Tickets for individual exhibits, films, and performances can be conveniently bought online through the Whitaker Center’s website or at the box office on-site. 

For frequent visitors, a membership offers excellent value, providing unlimited access to the UPMC Science Center, discounts on digital cinema films, exclusive member-only events, and much more! Memberships are available in various levels to suit individuals & families. Memberships also support the Center’s mission of inspiring curiosity and learning in science and the arts.

Additionally, Whitaker Center gift cards make perfect presents for friends and family, allowing them to enjoy everything the Center has to offer. These can be purchased online or at the Center, and can be used for tickets, concessions, and merchandise, making them a versatile and thoughtful gift choice.

Ticket Prices & Policies

Ticket types/prices vary by venue and experience. What would you like to do during your visit?

Experience interactive STEAM-based exhibits geared towards children age 14 and under and their families.

UPMC Science Center tickets are $13 per person (ages 3-17, ages 60+); $16 per person (ages 18-59).  Children 2 and under are free. Members are also free but still need to reserve a ticket. 

Special Events & Programs – We love doing special things! Check out the events and programs taking place in the UPMC Science Center. Some events/programs require special admission.

Movies are just better when you see them on a four story screen! Our digital cinema screens documentaries daily and offers special showings of second run films periodically.
