Pledge or Recurring Donation
Pledge:
A pledge is a promise to make a specified payment within the fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). Pledges to Whitaker Center must be paid by June 30 each year. You can make a pledge by contacting the Development Office at development@whitakercenter.org.
Whitaker Center allows pledge commitments to endowment and capital projects over a period of five years.
Recurring Gifts:
A recurring gift is an ongoing, specific gift amount determined by a donor that is charged monthly, annually, or quarterly to a donor’s credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express). Recurring gifts can be set up to run as a one-time charge in a future month, beginning and ending on specified dates, or with no end-date. Your recurring gift will be a dependable source of support that Whitaker Center can count on throughout the year.

The Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) is a PA Department of Community and Economic Development program that provides incentives for eligible businesses when they donate to eligible organizations. Whitaker Center is registered as an eligible Educational Improvement Organization.
We use EITC funding to help public school students take part in our many educational offerings, such as trips to the UPMC Science Center, STEM Education Lab programs, documentary films, live performances at our Sunoco Performance Theater, and more!

Whitaker Center is committed to making sure that as many children as possible have the opportunity to learn and explore through our various educational programs. Thanks to the generosity of individual and corporate donors, The Whitaker Center Educational Outreach Fund (WCEOF) allows us to offer reduced admission fees for Title 1 schools and Central PA nonprofits that serve low-income families and disadvantaged youth. These funds also provide discounts for Surgery Live!, summer camps, and Whitaker on Wheels visits.
