This winter, the lights turn down and the fun turns up!

Winter Glow is a super cool black light exhibit that transforms the Gloria M. Olewine Gallery in the UPMC Science Center into an immersive world of color, motion, and discovery! As glowing installations and interactive elements come alive under ultraviolet light, guests are invited to explore the science of light, perception, and creativity—through hands-on play and visual wonder.

Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or flying solo, Winter Glow offers a fresh way to experience the season: vibrant, engaging, and full of surprise.

This world class exhibit, produced by Little Ray’s Nature Center and hosted at Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts, will feature habitats with live animals and plants. Visitors will have the chance to see a Two-Toed Sloth, Green Iguana, Chameleon, and dozens of other incredible species!
