One of our favorite nights of the year returns on Tuesday, Nov. 24, when we open the doors for Light Up The Night! Join us for an evening of festive amusements and merriment, with free admission sponsored by Energy Transfer!
This year, we’re inviting you all to come wander and explore the joys of Whitaker Center as we welcome the holiday season!

- Educational Science Shows in Select Medical Digital Cinema
- Admission to UPMC Science Center
- StarLab Tours in Kunkel Gallery
- Cookies for all visitors in Desoto Lounge
- PNC Innovation Zone access & games (for ages 10+)
- Live Holiday Music provided by the Mechanicsburg High School Orchestra
Please note that all children 17 years old and younger need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
This special holiday event offers an awesome opportunity for families and friends to explore, learn, and have fun together. Enjoy an exciting selection of hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity, and creativity for all ages.
Admission is FREE, but guests MUST register in advance!
- All children ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the event.
- All guests must have a ticket for admission.
- Space for this event is limited. Please only reserve tickets for the number of people you know can attend the event. If you reserved tickets and are no longer able to use them, please contact Whitaker Center’s Box Office at 717-214-2787 to release the tickets.
