A UPMC Science Center membership means you and your family can free your inner innovator, explore dozens of exhibits, help support accessible Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education throughout the community, and get member benefits such as:
Your membership will be immediately available upon purchase and will be valid for one full year. If you are renewing, your new membership benefits will begin immediately after your current membership ends.

Recognition in Membership Newsletter
For a seamless check-in at the Box Office, please take note of the following requirements:
- Children may not enter the UPMC Science Center using a membership card unless one of the two named adult members on the card is present.
- Members must present a valid membership card and a photo ID at check-in to enter the UPMC Science Center.
- At least one adult must remain with any minors in the group for the entire visit.
- Individuals under the age of 18 may not be listed as a named adult on a membership account or card.

Library Membership
With Whitaker Center’s Library Membership program, branches can purchase a family tier membership for their communities to borrow, allowing access for up to two (2) adults and four (4) children per day.
Pass users must present their library cards and identification with matching names upon arrival, in addition to the Whitaker Center Library Membership Card.
Guests must abide by all Whitaker Center policies at all times.
This membership level does not include inclusion in the ASTC Passport Program, discounted pricing for cinema tickets, discounted concessions pricing, or special member pricing for events.

Community Organization Membership
Beginning September 1, 2026
Non-Profit Community Organization Memberships are just like Library Memberships at Whitaker Center.
Organizations can purchase a family tier membership for their communities to borrow, allowing access for up to two (2) adults and four (4) children per day.
Pass users must present the following upon arrival: a verification card issued by the participating Community Organization, a photo ID with a matching name, and the Whitaker Center Community Organization Membership Card provided by that organization.
Guests must abide by all Whitaker Center policies at all times.
This membership level does not include inclusion in the ASTC Passport Program, discounted pricing for cinema tickets, discounted concessions pricing, or special member pricing for events.
