Amber is best known as a writer and performer on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and as the host of Peacock’s The Amber Ruffin Show. She’s also a powerhouse in theater, earning a Tony nomination for co-writing the Broadway hit Some Like It Hot, and contributing to major productions like The Wiz revival.

About Amber Ruffin
Amber Ruffin is an Emmy-, Tony-, and WGA-nominated comedy writer, performer, actress, author, and host based in New York City. She made history on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers as the first Black woman to write for a U.S. late-night network talk show, and quickly became a fan favorite on camera as well.
From 2020–2023, she hosted The Amber Ruffin Show on Peacock, earning multiple award nominations and bringing her signature blend of smart humor and fearless honesty to a national audience. She currently appears as a returning team captain on CNN’s Have I Got News For You alongside Roy Wood Jr. and Michael Ian Black.
Her voice work includes projects like Netflix’s Big Mouth, Apple’s Central Park, and even the unmistakable purple M&M!
