Whitaker Center's Girl Scout workshops are always a favorite. We offer workshops for Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, AND AMBASSADORS! There are a variety of workshops from robotics to painting. Scouts can register with their troop or as individuals. Adults and leaders will need to accompany their Girl Scouts to the workshop and remain within the required ratios. Each scout will take home the earned badge(s) at the end of the workshop to add to their vest or sash! Questions regarding workshops can be sent to education@whitakercenter.org. We look forward to seeing you soon! Learn more here.
Merit badges give scouts the opportunity to investigate a large variety of knowledge and skills. The merit badge program plays a major role in the scouting advancement program and participation can begin as soon as a scout registers with a troop or as an individual. Adults and leaders will need to accompany their scouts to remain within required ratios. Requirements that will be completed for the badge will be listed within the program description. Any information that needs to be collected to show completion of the requirement is the responsibility of the adults present. At this time, Whitaker Center is NOT able to provide badges for the Boy Scout Merit Badge Workshops. Boy Scouts will need to take what they have done in the workshop and present it to an authorized badge purchaser. Questions can be sent to education@whitakercenter.org. Learn more here.
American Heritage Girls (AHG) was founded by a group of parents wanting a faith-based, scout-type character development program for their daughters in 1995. The AHG Program is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. AHG across the nation and the globe participate in badge programs, service projects, leadership opportunities, and outdoor experiences, all with an emphasis on Christian values and family involvement. Whitaker Center is now offering STEM exploration workshops for American Heritage Girls. At this time, these workshops do not focus on specific badges but a more general exploration of STEM. Questions can be sent to education@whitakercenter.org. Learn more here.
