Acclaimed songwriter Aaron Benward hosts an acoustic evening with country music's most successful songwriters telling stories and performing the hit songs they have written. The show mimics the experience of the historic Bluebird Café in Nashville where songwriters perform their music in an intimate setting, sharing the story behind the song.
Have you ever wondered how "Live like You were Dying" for Tim McGraw was even written? Or did you know that the songwriter of "Friends in low Places" actually traded his ownership of that song to pay off a $1700 bar tab in Nashville before it became a worldwide hit for Garth Brooks? You're sure to have a whole new appreciation every time you hear the CMA Song of the Year "I Drive your Truck" when you learn that the song was inspired by an interview on NPR of a mom who had lost her son in Afghanistan and the only way to heal her broken heart was to get in his truck and drive.
The intimacy of this all acoustic show makes for a highly interactive connection between the writers and the audience. No show is ever the same because there is no script or band, just 3 microphones, 3 acoustic guitars, 3 stools with 3 of the world's greatest and most successful songwriters singing some of those songs that just might be on the soundtrack of your life.
Keith Anderson will be making an appearance during the show to perform and share the stories behind some of his songs. This promises to be a fantastic show for country music fans and fans of music in general! Harrisburg's own, Mountain Road, will open the show.
