Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

A chance to explore the world of engineering!

February 22, 2018
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day is a nationwide, annual event focused on increasing interest in engineering among girls and young women. The event is held in conjunction with National Engineers Week. Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts will be celebrating with a special program inside Harsco Science Center! This year's program will be: How we can do loopy, loops? An exploration into the science of roller coasters!

  • Cost per girl is $5. Limited spots are available so please register in advance to reserve your spot. Parents are welcome to explore downtown Harrisburg or stay and play in Harsco Science Center for a reduced rate while students take part in the lab program. Parents and siblings of students taking part in these programs save $5 off science center admission on the evening of the program. Admission can be purchased at the Box Office.
  • All attendees will be entered into a drawing to win a spot in our Girls in STEM Summer Camp or a $50 Whitaker Center gift card.
  • This event is geared toward girls in grades 4-8.

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day is part of Whitaker Center’s Girls in STEM program, which has been generously funded by The Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation.
