Titanica
Now Showing
In conjunction with Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, guests can also experience the inspirational tragedy on the area’s largest movie screen. Beginning March 27, Titanica will take audiences on a captivating journey through a non-fiction drama ─ combining spectacular life-sized images of the shattered remains of RMS Titanic from the ocean floor, with recollections of survivor Eva Hart, and computer-enhanced archival photographs.
Fascinated by the Titanic, Director Stephen Low, a veteran filmmaker with great passion for nature and technology, weaves a dramatic story of this modern-day expedition and the legendary Ship. Through one of a kind HMI underwater lights, moviegoers will witness the indistinct wreck in astonishing detail.
Startling images of the Titanic, as she now lies on the ocean floor, are contrasted with the exquisitely-preserved photographs of the Ship in its entire magnificence. Put side by side to these images are the touching and eloquent comments of Eva Hart, who survived and lost her father that tragic night.
As Hart reminisces about the tragedy, she remembers the time spent with her father right before the disaster. The frightened seven year-old never saw her father again and still believes that if more lifeboats were available, all lives would have been saved.
This is the first time Titanica will be shown in Central Pennsylvania.
Running time: 45 min. This film is not rated, but suitable for all audiences.
