French born guitar virtuoso, Stephane Wrembel is best known as a composer and performer of Gypsy Jazz. The music of Wrembel takes us to the gypsy camp to dance around the campfire with the same sense of freedom, abandon and vitality as the gypsies. Wrembel studied classical piano from age four in France, before taking up the guitar at 16, in order to learn Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Genesis songs. While attending the American School of Modern Music in Paris, Wrembel went to the Django Reinhardt Festival where he was inspired to study composition arranging, jazz and contemporary classical music. Wrembel was awarded a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music, graduating summa cum laude in music performance.

Wrembel has issued several albums, under his own name and as The Stephane Wrembel Trio, and his song Big Brother was featured on the soundtrack for Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona. In 2011, he composed the theme track for Allen's film, Midnight In Paris, titled Bistro Fada.
