Capital Area Science & Engineering Fair
Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts is pleased to host the 51st annual Capital Area Science and Engineering Fair (CASEF) February 13-16, 2008.

Each year, aspiring local scientists, mathematicians and engineers, grades seven through 12, exhibit their projects in one of 15 categories. After a two day competition, two senior high students will be chosen as grand champions to compete at ISEF, compliments of CASEF. The 2008 international competition will be held in Atlanta, Georgia.

“The fair is exciting because it supports interest in science, which really fits Whitaker Center’s mission,” said Dr. Michael Hanes, Whitaker Center President and CEO. It’s important for families to share events that go beyond just entertainment. Learning together is a lot of fun.”

CASEF will be featured in public spaces throughout Whitaker Center. Visitors are invited to view the projects prepared by talented students from the Capital area on Saturday, February 16 from 9:30am-7pm and to attend the awards ceremony at 7pm in Sunoco Performance Theater. Admission is free. Please contact , Fair Director, at 221-8201 x2518 or visit www.whitakercenter.org for more details.
