The
Hurricane Simulator
Located
outside
of Gloria M. Olewine Gallery on street level of Harsco Science Center.
Not included with admission; click here for prices.
The Hurricane Simulator offers guests the opportunity to safely experience
the force of a Category 1 hurricane, with winds of over 75 mile per
hour. “We’ve all felt the force of moving air on a windy
day, but very few of us can really grasp the tremendous power of hurricane-strength
winds,” said Bishop. Designed for guests of all ages, the experience
is complete with thunder and lightning effects and lasts for one minute.
