Healthy Habits Remain a Priority at Whitaker Center
Throughout the flu season, Whitaker Center takes extra sanitary precautions to ensure a happy, healthy environment and experience for guests of all ages.
To reduce the spread of germs throughout the building, Whitaker Center’s ventilation system uses hospital-grade air filters. Within the Science Center ─ a popular field trip destination ─ all general exhibit areas are kept clean with appropriate hygienic products. To maintain an especially safe and clean area for our youngest explorers in KidsPlace, all play items are cleaned daily with bleach solution or sanitizing wipes. Visitors can also take advantage of the hand sanitizer stations located on each floor of the Science Center, in addition to antibacterial soap available in all public restrooms of the Center. Antibacterial hand sanitizer is also available for purchase at Wonders at Whitaker Center.
