If you like telling stories, hearing stories, or just fun in general, you will definitely want to check out Whitaker Center's Story Slam at the Hilton's Hill Society! A Story Slam is a great excuse for anyone 21+ to get on stage and tell the crowd one of their favorites. Each month has its own theme and own winner. In November, the top two winners from the Story Slams in July-October will descend upon the Hilton for the ultimate throw down- the Grand Slam! Think of it like Celebrity Deathmatch but with real people and zero violence. This is a friendly competition and we invite storytellers of all caliber to show their stuff! Winners will receive a prize courtesy of the Hilton.

October 5- Scared Stupid

Boo! Oh, did we frighten you? Tell us about the time the hairs on the back of your neck stood up or that time you had a brush with death. We’ll even take a good ghost story…it’s all fair game at this month’s Slam!

Tickets are required for both performers and spectators. Your ticket gives you one complimentary drink and the opportunity to be entered into that night's running to tell your story or just to enjoy what others have to say. This event is strictly 21+. Tickets are $10 at the door (cash only). This event is generously sponsored by the Harrisburg Hilton. To get to the Hill Society room, enter through the main lobby on 2nd Street and make a left.
