MASTER EDUCATOR - Grant-funded position responsible for facilitating the safety, enjoyment and learning of all science center guests. Schedules and supervises InterActor staff and science center volunteers and continuously monitors quality of services. Also will develop lesson plans for the Expedition Chesapeake curriculum modules as directed, serve as a liaison between Whitaker Center and teachers in districts with partner relationships with the Center on this project, and develop and deliver professional development opportunities for educators related to the Expedition Chesapeake learning experiences. Bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a strong background in environmental or life science education. Current Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education Biology or Environmental Education with a minimum of 2 years experience. Current Act 33 and Act 151 Clearances. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience. Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and organizational skills required.  Valid driver’s license and at least 3 years of driving experience with a safe driving record.
