He is the eldest son of America's most beloved singer/writer/philosopher Woody Guthrie and Marjorie Mazia Guthrie, a professional dancer with the Martha Graham Company and founder of The Committee to Combat Huntington's Disease. |

Whitaker Center receives state arts funding support through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the arts, a federal agency.
Established in January 2007 by the business leaders of Central Pennsylvania, the Cultural Enrichment Fund serves as the region's united fund for local arts and culture.
