Guests will have the opportunity to relive the compelling human stories ─ this time through a larger version of Whitaker Center’s 2005 exhibit. The Exhibition features 150 legendary artifacts, which have not been seen in Harrisburg before, and 11 of which have never been seen anywhere before; dramatic room recreations of first-class and third-class cabins; the famous iceberg wall; and authentic personal items recovered after 80 years from the ocean floor.
The exhibit reveals the science and technology used to recover and preserve artifacts that sat on the ocean floor for more than 70 years where they were subjected to extreme temperatures, intense pressure and corrosive processes. It's a history lesson with engineering, physics, social studies and communications all in the same experience.
Complete your group’s experience with the captivating IMAX movie ─Titanica. Audiences will take a moving journey through a non-fiction drama ─ combining spectacular life-sized images of the shattered remains of RMS Titanic from the ocean floor, with recollections of survivor Eva Hart and computer-enhanced archival photographs. This is the first time Titanica will be shown in Central Pennsylvania. Running time: 45 min. This film is not rated, but suitable for all audiences.
