Sea Monsters 3D:
A Prehistoric Adventure
Whitaker Center kicks off the summer with the hauntingly beautiful underwater journey, Sea Monsters 3D: A Prehistoric Adventure. On June 13, 2009, Select Medical IMAX Theater’s spectacular 3D effects, featuring larger-than-life images, will transport moviegoers to some of the most dangerous oceans in history on a 65 by 80 foot screen.
National Geographic Cinema Ventures presents a voyage to a lost age and prehistoric world. Audiences will follow dolichorhynchops ─ familiarly known as “dolly,” ─ as she encounters giant turtles, enormous fish, fierce sharks, and the most dangerous sea monster of all, the mosasaur.
The film combines the powerful and experiential nature of the giant IMAX screen with strong science and educational materials, highlighting the complex and fragile life within the Earth’s oceans. Merging ultra-high-resolution computer-generated graphics with National Geographic’s trademark authenticity, compelling imagery and powerful storytelling, Sea Monsters 3D is an unforgettable prehistoric adventure.
