Sponsored schools
participating in this program will have the opportunity to decorate
kites provided by Whitaker Center.
Participating schools will conduct student kite contests. Rules
for the kite contests may be determined based on individual school
needs.
Each school will choose winners who will have their kites placed
on public exhibit in the KiteFest Sky Galleries. Participating
children may also bring their kites to fly at StringFling,
an open air kite festival to be held at Harrisburg’s
Reservoir Park on April 15, 2006 with the support of the American
Kitefliers Association.
