artists KiteFest is a public art event that will promote the work of local artists during the summer of 2006. Hundreds of kites and kite sculptures decorated with extraordinary creativity will be displayed on our streets and centers of business, government, and commerce. In addition to benefiting Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts, KiteFest will bring our community together for a common purpose. Similar to CowParade Harrisburg, KiteFest will dramatically raise the profile of our region’s thriving arts community.
